This is what we believe (our articles of doctrine)
We believe that there is only one true and living God, eternally existent in three persons -Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is unchangeable in His holiness, justice, wisdom and love. He is the Almighty Creator, Saviour and Judge.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. We believe in His eternal Sonship, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His death, bodily resurrection and ascension, that He mediates between us and the Father and that He will return personally for His waiting people.
We believe in the Holy Spirit who is sent from the Father and the Son, who comes to glorify Christ and to make real Christ's salvation in the life of the believer.
We believe in the full and unique inspiration of the Holy Bible as the word of God and as the only infallible, sufficient and authoritative rule of faith and practice.
We believe that God is wholly good but that the human race is universally sinful and guilty, making us subject to God's anger and eternal condemnation. There is nothing that we can do to earn or deserve His forgiveness.
We believe that God continues to love us and sent His Son to die for us. The death of Jesus on the cross is the perfect and only sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. Whoever turns away from sin and trusts in Jesus is fully forgiven and made right with God; a new life is brought about by the work of the Holy Spirit. Baptism in water is an outward sign of this.
We believe that we are commanded to love God with all of our being and to love one another. We are called to a life of holiness and constant victory over sin. This is made possible through the fullness of the Holy Spirit when a believer surrenders whole heartedly to God and this relationship is maintained as we trust and obey.
We believe in the one true church as the body of Christ in which all the believers are members and Christ is the head. The task of the church is to glorify God, to build up believers, to show the love of God in practical ways and to go into all the world and make disciples. We observe the Lord's Supper as an act of remembering Christ's death, open to all believers.
We believe that death seals the eternity of every person: there will be a bodily resurrection of believers to eternal life and unbelievers to eternal punishment.
